Dallas Outdoor Kitchens & Hardscape installs a variety of materials to be used for outdoor living patios, driveways, walkways, and swimming pool decks. These materials include beautiful Belgard pavers, flagstone, & travertine pavers. Each material has its own beauty and benefit. All the materials we use are long lasting, stand up to high traffic areas, are extremely durable, and are naturally non-slip making them perfect for use in both dry and wet areas. None of these materials require any sealing, coloring, or general maintenance other than an occasional cleaning with simple soap and water.
Our line of Belgard pavers and natural travertine pavers are priced very comparable to pattern concrete, but offer superior warranties and no annual sealing required. The cost to seal and re-color pattern concrete on a regular basis is a never ending cycle that can be avoided by choosing one of our interlocking paver materials for your patio or pool deck area. In addition, unlike pattern concrete, you do not have to worry about our pavers cracking because of their modular design and installation, however, should you ever need to replace one they are easy to remove, replace, and the repair cannot be seen.
All of our interlocking pavers work well in the Dallas area. Because the soil in our area is clay based, it will contract and expand in the wet and dry seasons, this is especially so when we get into the high summer temperatures of 100+ degrees. This causes foundations to shift, driveways, concrete decks, and patios to crack, buckle, lift, or fall. Concrete decks can never be properly repaired and made to look new but the pavers we install are made to allow ground movement. Should they become unlevel they are quick and easy to relevel and will look as good as the day they were first installed. For these reasons, our pavers are far better to use in both new applications as well as in remodeling work.
There are many companies that sell all sorts of overlay materials that go on top of an existing patio, deck, or driveway in an attempt to make it look new again. When these materials are first applied they will look great, the problem lies underneath their material, and that is the original concrete below it. Although you can sometimes fill concrete cracks with epoxy or other bonding agents the original concrete will still continue to move as the clay soil expands and contracts from our wet to dry seasons, this movement will allow the original cracks to reopen and when the bottom concrete moves, the new top coating will also move with it and the old surface cracks will then reappear. To us, that does not seem like a permanent solution to the underlying problem which is the existing concrete base. Instead, we prefer to remove the old concrete and replace it with our interlocking pavers to solve the problem for good.
We specialize in removing old swimming pool decks, patios, and driveways made of concrete and replacing them with our Belgard and travertine stone pavers to give you a fresh new look that will last a very long time. In fact, cobblestone pavers have been used for thousands of years dating back to the first roads built by the Romans, some of those roads are still in existence today!
In addition, we offer a lifetime warranty on all of our Belgard pavers which is far superior to any warranty you can get on any sort of concrete or overlay product. Give us a call and let us show you how we can solve your concrete patio, and driveway problems with our natural stone travertine and Belgard pavers.
